Gilded Dragonfly Books Releases New Paranormal Romance Anthology Set in North Georgia Mountains

Gilded Dragonfly Books is releasing its latest anthology, Of Mountains and Mysteries, Sunday, June 5, in the paranormal romance genre. Tasked with writing short stories that use the mysteries and magic of the North Georgia Mountains, ten authors created stories using legends, myths, and their imaginations. Some stories have shifters (humans that change into animals at will) while others have ghosts, witches, and other supernatural elements. Some stories feature only the magic of nature and the beauty of the mountains.

Nantahala is a small fictional town steeped in legends of the Native American culture and only imaginary miles from Dahlonega. Each author created her own independent story, with each one building on the lore of Nantahala to deliver individual vignettes. Some of the authors are transplants, but all are now Georgia residents.

Authors: Melba Moon, Mary Marvella, Jackie Rod, Nancy Knight, Georgiana Fields, Gina Dyer, C. C. Ansardi, Sabrina Cole,  Carol Shaughnessy, and Martha Brown

The featured stories are:

“Abandoned” by Jackie Rod: A young woman has to return to Nantahala for her grandmother’s funeral. The mystery of her father’s disappearance when she was a child haunts her.

“The Rabbit and the Fox” by Melba Moon: A bounty hunter has cornered his “prey” in Nantahala, his home town and old hunting ground.

“Jamie’s Adventure” by Mary Marvella: A mountain girl rolls her old wreck of a truck off a mountain. What happens next? (No ghosts or creatures)

“Coming Home” by Gina Dyer: Declan and Rowena return home from their separate and hectic lives in the outside world. A skull found in the water near The Falls sets them on a path to search for information about his father’s disappearance and learn family history no one knew.

“Darker than Shadow” by Nancy Knight: A tale about the appearance of a demon, Spearfinger, an avid reader, and a demon hunter.
“I’ll Be Seeing You” by C.C. Ansardi: A young woman returns with her new husband to the town that had considered her grandmother a witch. How will the town treat this bride and will she find she’s more than an empath?

“The Witch Hunter’s Prey” by Sabrina Cole:  A young witch returns to Nantahala, the town where someone just murdered her aunt. Someone murdered her mother years before.

“Tears for the Past” by Georgiana Fields:  A woman, an elf, and bear shifters seek the killer of bears and bear shifters. And there are still surprises!

“Beyond the Falls” by Martha Brown:  A chef and owner of Savannah’s Southern Restaurant literally trips over the reason for the Legend of Crying Woman Falls and a mission.

“Cherokee Rose: Once Upon a Legend” by Carol Shaughnessey: Once again, the legend of Crying Woman Falls makes its way known to Savannah, but with a very different twist.

The launch will take place June 5, 4-10 p.m. online at https://www.facebook.com/ARomanceCaper. Of Mountains and Mysteries and will be available at Amazon.com in ebook format and paperback as of June 5, 2016.
